HTE’s primary capabilities are centered on plant floor data systems. As a MarkReadTrack solution provider we are commonly invited in to assist customers in formulating the scope of work to assure > 99.97 read rates. This applies to direct marked parts with automatic identification. Our 16 years of plant floor data collection experience enables us to communicate to any floor device with bi directional data movement to MES and ERP level systems.

GM Flint Engine south
  • pin marking and automatically reading data matrix symbology on blocks and heads
  • Verifying code quality and data content
  • Logic to perform part error proof
  • Serial number data insert into SQL for reporting and containment
GM Gen 4 V8 crankshaft program Romulus, Salio, St Cats, Flint, Livonia
  • Coordinated five plants internationaly to commonize mark characterisitics, marking technique and verification to allow inter plant movement of parts with read rates in excess of 99.94.
  • Integrated laser system to imager systems for automated feedback of declining mark quality with operator alerts and corrective action suggestions
Ford Livonia 6R transmission
  • Assisted staff in mark specification and placement on all marked surfaces prior to supplier selection
  • Trained and supported all tier one line suppliers from design to implementation and debug
  • Train and support Ford direct currently all hand held data matrix readers
Mercedes VIN
  • Integrated scribe marker and vision system to perform OCR on hidden VIN on two lines
  • Supported general contracter
Cummins engine Columbus Indiana
  • Installed and support block and fuel injector assembly line with dot peened data matrix and laser etch data matrix
  • Supplied custom interface for quality trending, reporting and upload to MES
  • Vision systems for block loctite application
Ford Sharonville Transmission
  • Retrofit three laser mark read stations to improve read rates to acceptable levels (Torque convertor 4n)
  • Supplied custom interface for closed loop control from mark verifier to laser power meter(Torque Convertor 4n)
  • Supplied data matrix reading system for laser mark part (Output shaft 6R)
  • Supplied all hand held readers on 6R assembly
Caterpillar Lafeyette
  • Designed and installed OCR vision system for Rod line
  • Installed fixed readers Rod assembly
