DF-Series Dark-Field Illuminators provide effective low-angle lighting to targetted regions. DF-Series machine vision lights use either a single tier of LEDs mounted at either 70º (DF-50) or 90º (DF-100-1 & DF-150-1) to the optical axis, or three tiers of LEDs mounted at 75º to the optical axis (DF-150-3). For machine vision applications with parts moving at high speeds (e.g. conveyors), strobe models are available to "stop" motion for the camera.
DLA (Dual Line Array) Series Illuminators provide two linear projections of LED-based machine vision lighting. Each linear array is indepentedly adjustable to control the angle of illumination to the region of interest. DLA-Series machine vision lights are available in either red or white strobe models.
Machine vision lighting from Dark-Field Illuminators enhances the contrast of surface features such as laser embossed or engraved marks or surface defects. DF-Series illuminators are particularly suited for applications such as BGA ball placement, reading laser-etched symbologies and inspecting surfaces with geometric contours. DLA-Series machine vision lights are especially well suited to label inspection applications.
